did Kokopelli run aground coming out of Ilwaco? looks strange on the race map

Kokopelli's tracker hasn't reported since 1:05.

My guess is that the coast guard won't let them cross the bar because Kokopelli is only 27 feet.
The bar was closed earlier today to boats under 50 feet which is why the race was delayed. My guess is they shut their tracker off and are headed back to Portland just a guess though.
Looks like AJA turned back too.
Wind appears to be about 20 off the nose.

I'm wondering why Passepartout isn't listed (or showing) on the Tracker?

Just heard from Aja. Unfortunately they are abandoning due to a broken chain plate.

WOW, glad they could make it back in with a broken chainplate, lucky!

Sure would like to know the story on the SC27, did they start or not?

What is up with Kokopelli

Kokopelli is racing. About a half hour ago, we crossed between Rya and Caligornia Girl. We think the battery is dead on the SPOT tracker, but everything else is a-ok.

Glad to hear Kokopelli is out there. Go racers! Have fun and be safe. And don't take this the wrong way, but I hope Katzenjammer beats you all across the finish line. :-)

I hope everyone is settling in for a night of beating up the coast. Stay warm and don't come too close to the breakers on Port tack..
