24 Hours Into the Race Now... CRUISING CLASS UPDATE: You're Never Losin' When You're Cruisin'!

Souffle, the Cal 34 sailed by Phil Lewis and crew from Rose City Yacht Club in Portland, has rounded Cape Flattery and has entered the Strait, they are bringing up the rear of the fleet in style, currently heading NNE at a healthy 5.3 knots of boat speed.

I wonder if the souffle collapses in a gimballed oven in 25 knots of breeze?

I sure hope they're whooping it up in true cruising style - four-course dinner last night, bloody marys and french toast this morning... Go, Souffle, go!

That's my boys, cruising style.
Souffle's powered by Chef Fidel's Louisiana gumbo, and an appreciating crew. Plenty of cup O noodles too...

Gumbo and seasickness doesn't sound very appetizing.....
